Living in Florida, it starts to get hot in May, and even hotter in June. I’ve always had uber sensitive skin, and the summer tends to be more challenging because the more I cake on makeup, the more I break out like a hormonal teenager. As I venture into my thirties, I’ve found I have become a skincare junkie. Im always searching for new facial wash, different brightening and tightening masks, anti-aging products, anything! Today Im sharing with you 3 skin care products I TRULY cannot live without that help me keep my skin bright and clear all summer long.
First up, is the Garnier Pore purifying 2-in-1 Clay Cleanser/Mask. It doubles as both a cleanser, and a clay mask. I prefer the clay mask alternative because once I wash it off, I can actually feel and see the difference in my skin. My skin tone levels out, so I don’t look blotchy or red. I also feel like it just feels clean, you know?! Softer, smoother, and brighter in general. I use this every couple of days to keep breakouts at bay. I picked mine up at Target for less than six bucks. (This is not paid, just truly products I love and use daily.)
Next up, is my Aveeno daily moisturizer. I started moisturizing fairly young because my mom also stressed how important it was for preventative aging, and how CRUCIAL it is to use something with SPF!! Over the years, I’ve tried many moisturizers, however none as much as I LOVE Aveeno. The price point is fairly average for drug stores, and INEXPENSIVE if you typically buy from the department store lines. It always makes my skin feel soft and super hydrated, but without feeling too heavy or clogging my pores. One use, and I am forever Aveeno’s biggest fan. (That was years ago) Oh, FYI they also have a tinted moisturizer, which is phenomenal as well! Aveeno daily moisturizer, and Aveeno tinted moisturizer.
So you know that expression, “saved the best for last?” That statement has never been more true. I recently discovered the Chanel Vitalumiere lightweight and water based foundation via Instagram stalking bloggers I love. Don’t judge, hopefully you’re here because you’re doing the very same! 🙂 This is certainly the priciest of the three on the list, but its BEYOND WORTH IT, LADIES!! I hate foundation. Hate it. Not because I don’t love makeup and beauty products, I can just never find one light enough to not make me look cakey or too orange against my natural ghost white complexion. You barely feel like you’re wearing makeup, AND it’s also oil free, with SPF 15. I found this a few months back, and I will never buy another. It’a ultra light, and it gives your skin this dewy looking glow that I don’t get with anything else. I buy the 20 beige, but you can check out other shades at Nordstrom for $50.00.
Do any of you use these products, too? What are your favorites?
I’d love to hear from you!
